Maternity

The Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin (MNVP) are an independent team made up of women and their families, commissioners, service providers (including midwives, consultants and health visitors) and local authorities.

The MNVP works to design and improve maternity care together. The MNVP listens to and gathers feedback from service users, holds focus groups and meetings to build a picture of the needs and experiences of families and much more, ensuring everybody’s voice is heard. The MNVP particularly focuses on those who may not always feel heard.

The MNVP also works closely with our Maternity and Neonatal Services to share ideas and identify solutions for the design and improvement of maternity and neonatal care, which is called co-production. An example of this would be on our User Experience (UX) System, which captures the feedback of those whose voices matter the most, which is then used to shape the planning and prioritisation of changes within our Maternity Services.
