Plaster Room
We provide the specialist plaster cast, composite (cast) and splint services to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments across the Trust. We currently provide a 5-day provision in our Plaster Rooms which are within the Fracture Clinics, at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
The plaster room team provide a variety of treatments and work with a large range of materials and products to ensure we provide the upmost care for all our patients.
All our qualified practitioners hold the British casting certificate (BCC) and are registered by the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA).

Princess Royal Hospital:
The plaster room is located within the fracture clinic department and is assessable through the side entrance. Signposted, Medical escalation and Lofthouse unit.
Follow the road towards the Emergency department and then around the side of the hospital heading towards the Women and Children unit. The side entrance will be viable to your right with a drop off point under a canopy. The fracture clinic/plaster room is the second door on the left as you enter the hospital and is clearly signposted above your head.
Royal Shrewsbury Hospital:
From the treatment centre – follow the corridor down into the hospital, stay on the corridor and the fracture clinic can be found on the right side of the corridor.
From entrance 3 – follow the corridor to the lifts/stairs, go up one floor. Turn right out of the lifts or left out of the stairs and then turn right at the T-Junction. Fracture clinic is on the left a short distance down this corridor.
