There is still time to enter a charity fun run which is being held by the trust which runs Shropshire’s two acute hospitals to raise money for its Living Well With Dementia Fund.
The fun run will take place at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on Saturday 6 July, starting at 9.30am. It will be followed by The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust’s (SaTH) annual charity fun day, which will start at 10am.
The entry fee for the 5km fun run will go to SaTH’s Living Well With Dementia Fund, but anyone taking part can also raise money for their own good cause if they wish.
Attractions for the fun day, which is held to mark the anniversary of the birth of the NHS, include:
- Live music
- A disco bubble
- Go karting
- Nerf gun arena
- Exotic zoo
- 202 Field Hospital
Live music will be provided by some of Shropshire’s most popular acts including Wem Taiko Drums, Geoff Rogers, Jay Harris, Top Bananas and The Ronaldos.
Refreshments will be available thanks to the popular Rapid Relief Team barbecue, Little Box of Goodness, Planet Doughnut and Caffe Bistro.
A host of emergency services will also be supporting the day, with attendance from West Midlands Ambulance Service, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Mercia Police, St John Ambulance and Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire Blood Bikes.
