Children and Young People’s Artwork Competition – Terms and Conditions

  • We must receive entries for the competition by 23:59 on 1 November 2024, as the Trust cannot guarantee any late submissions will be accepted
  • All submitted artwork must be original works of art completed by the child or young person
  • This competition is open to children and young people across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and mid Wales and entries will be judged in two categories:
    • Children aged up to 10 years old
    • Children and young adults aged 11-18 years old
  • Due to space limitations, artwork must not exceed A3 paper size for pieces submitted
  • Only one entry per person / group will be accepted (Schools may submit one entry per person and will not be treated as a ‘group’ unless otherwise advised)
  • All work must be clearly labelled on the BACK with the child / young person’s name, age, and contact details in pencil (personal details won’t be shared and will only be used by the Trust to contact the competition winners). For digital submissions, the listed information must be included in the submission email
  • Artwork is submitted at your own risk. Although every care will be taken, no liability will be accepted by The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust
  • Unfortunately, we will be unable to return the artwork back to you
  • The decision of the competition judges will be final
  • There is no monetary prize for the winners of this competition. However, a certificate will be provided to the winning child, young person, and/or school or community group
  • The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time, if deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside of the Trust’s control
  • By submitting an entry, you are providing/have sought consent from a Parent/Carer/School for the artwork to be used and for the children or young person’s name, age and geographical area to be included with the artwork as part of the submission
  • A selection of the best artwork may be used in our hospitals, social media, website and other communications channels for display purposes. The Trust reserves the right to include the name, age and geographical area of the person who submitted the artwork in the display
  • The Trust reserves the right to remove the artwork after a reasonable time period, or as deemed necessary
  • The Trust is unable to respond to all submissions. Only finalists and/or winners will be contacted via their Parent/Carer or School on or before 15 November 2024. For the finalists and winners’ artwork, the Parent/Carer/School will be asked to reconfirm consent
  • The Trust may ask finalists/winners to take part in publicity related to the unveiling of the artwork. Parent/Carer/ School permission must be given for this activity
