Hospitals Transformation Programme – Focus Groups

Register to join any of our focus groups at sath.engagement@nhs.net

Plans to transform our hospital services in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales are underway. We want you, our local communities and patients, to have the opportunity to get involved and give your views and feedback to help inform and shape our plans to improve care for everyone.

The plans will see the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford specialise in planned care and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital specialise in emergency care. Patients benefit from:

  • fewer cancellations and delays for planned procedures,
  • and a more streamlined and effective emergency care service, with fewer ambulance handover delays, delivered from a dedicated, modern Emergency Department.
Help us develop two thriving hospital sites

We are organising focus groups which will meet regularly over the next three years as plans develop. The focus groups are aligned to the clinical workstreams within the HTP programme.

The next scheduled focus groups are:

  • Medicine, Emergency Care, Surgery, Anaesthetics, and Cancer – Thursday 6th March 2025, 10:00-12:00
  • Women and Children’s – Tuesday 4th March 2025, 10:00-12:00
