We have made the decision to stop the wearing of masks in non-clinical areas with immediate effect at both our hospitals. Wearing masks in all clinical areas will continue.
Patients and visitors will be required to wear masks when they enter any clinical area. We will continue to ensure masks are readily available on entry to wards and clinical departments.
If you have any questions, please speak to a member of staff.
We are continuing to see cases of winter illnesses in our hospitals, so we thank you for helping to protect the safety of patients and prevent the spread of infection.
Please follow all guidance on our wards and departments, including a maximum of two visitors per patient at any time. Please continue to wash your hands to maintain good hand hygiene.
We would also like to remind visitors that for the safety of their loved ones, our patients and our staff, please do not visit if you are feeling unwell. If you have a cough, cold or flu like symptoms, please do not visit. If you have had diarrhoea or vomiting in the last 48 hours, please do not visit. For more information on visiting, please visit: https://www.sath.nhs.uk/patients-visitors/visiting-a-patient/
Thank you for your ongoing support.
