The Trust is committed to ensuring a healthy and safe environment for the staff it employs and the families that it serves. The Trust recognises that to meet its responsibilities, the risk from passive smoking must be eliminated. The Trust is also committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for patients and visitors to the Trust through ensuring a smoke-free atmosphere.  Therefore:

• The Trust is a no smoking/e-cigarette organisation except for designated external shelters.  No vaping or smoking is permitted anywhere other than in these designated shelters
• Smoking or vaping is not permitted within the hospital buildings
• Smoking is not permitted in any vehicle parked on Trust property
